Report Phishing with Avanan
Phishing and spam are both types of online scams, but they differ in their methods and goals. Phishing involves tricking users into revealing sensitive information, while spam is the mass distribution of unsolicited messages, often for commercial purposes. Frequently Asked Questions
Why didn't I receive a quarantine report today?
Avanan will only send you a quarantine report if you received something in your quarantine since your last report was generated. Reports are generated every day at 6AM and 2PM, but you can check you quarantine at any time by navigating to https://email-security-portal.avanan.net.
Why am I getting so many Junk emails now?
Microsoft will typically put emails in your quarantine, spam, or junk folders without telling you they did it. With Avanan, we want to ensure you are not missing any emails and the report will notify you of what is moved to those locations. Often it looks like you are suddenly getting more email when in fact you are getting notified of email that you previously may have missed.
What if I am unable to release an email from my quarantine?
Most mail can be released yourself in the Email Security Portal. However, there may be mail marked as "malicious." This is mail that Avanan is highly confident is dangerous.
If there is an instance where you are certain that the mail is legitimate and would like it released, please create a support ticket by sending an email to help@premier-one.com or calling our support line (785) 354-8233.
Who is monitoring my quarantine?
With this reporting system in place, everyone is responsible to monitor their own quarantine. You will be notified with what mail has been stopped and options to release if needed. If you are unsure of the mail in your quarantine, DO NOT release it.
If would like help reviewing your quarantine, please create a support ticket by sending an email to help@premier-one.com or calling our support line (785) 354-8233.
How do I delete mail from quarantine?
There is no need to delete mail from the quarantine as it will automatically delete after 7-10 days.
How do I allow senders permanently?
If you need to allow a sender permanently, please create a support ticket by sending an email to help@premier-one.com or calling our support line (785) 354-8233.
